Responsible for the maintenance and restoration of 52 historic wooden boats which include rowboats, sailboats and powerboats ranging from 10ft to 35ft. Tasks included:

- supervision and training of seasonal apprentices and a crew of over 100 volunteers
- maintenance of all shop tools and boat shop facilities
- material procurement
- management of shop inventory and upkeep
- documentation of all work completed
November 2010 - March 2011

Shipwright Apprentice
Worked along side the Master Shipwright in the restoration of the historic vessel Edna E. Lockwood, a 54’ oyster schooner built in 1889. Work included replacement of deck beams, mast partners, decking, bulkhead, and forward hatch.
March 2009 - March 2010
Portland, OR
Boatbuilder
Built a 42’ cold-molded motor sailer. Tasks included setting up molds, strip planking, applying four diagonal layers of planking, backbone construction, construction of bulk heads, fiberglass reinforcement, body work, painting and varnishing.
October 2007 - March 2008
De Hoop Uitgeest, NL
Boatbuilding Apprentice
Constructed a 17th century Dutch fishing boat for a museum in Zandaam. Tasks included construction of backbone, planking, frames, thwarts, spars and sails.
